Race-Based Admissions: An End or a Change?

October 24, 2023

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Central

This event has now passed. See below for the session recording and handout.

The battle over factoring race into college admissions has been ongoing for decades. Although it previously upheld higher education affirmative action plans, in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, the Supreme Court recently ruled that the systematic consideration of race in college admissions decisions deprives individual applicants of the equal protection of the laws.

How will the Court’s decision reshape college admissions programs? Will the ruling affect affirmative action plans in the business community? Join Andy Lester and Ruthie White for this Spencer Fane webinar discussing the basis for the recent Supreme Court decision, how it may affect college race-based admissions, and what impact, if any, it will have in the business community.
