Spencer Fane partner Pat McInerney was recently named to Missouri Lawyers Media’s (MLM) inaugural POWER 30 list for White-Collar Defense.
Inclusion on the POWER 30 list recognizes Pat as one of the “most powerful attorneys” in this area of law, according to MLM research. In the profile, MLM notes that Pat “became a key resource to his firm and his clients” in the wake of COVID-related relief funds becoming available to businesses.
“As a former federal prosecutor, McInerney could advise companies on where the fault lines lay in taking government aid, and how to avoid missteps that could trigger an investigation down the line,” MLM wrote in his profile.
Pat co-chairs the White Collar and Government Investigations practice group at Spencer Fane and brings over two decades of experience as a trial lawyer to his practice, having first-chaired many high-profile and complex cases in federal and state courts. As a former state and federal prosecutor, last with the Organized Crime Strike Force Unit of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, Pat has a background in prosecuting organized crime and public corruption, which gives him a unique understanding of investigative and prosecution priorities and allows him to counsel individuals and companies facing federal criminal or civil investigation.
