Spencer Fane attorney Natalie Miller published an article in BenefitsPRO, covering the recently released Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations and Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (CAA) statutory requirements. Both regulations include new transparency requirements applicable to group health plans.
Titled “Agencies clarify implementation dates for group health plan transparency rules,” Natalie’s article covers the provisions, duplicative transparency requirements, and next steps for group health plan sponsors.
“Most plan sponsors will need to rely on third-party administrators and service providers to implement these requirements,” Natalie explained in the article. “Employers should obtain written confirmation from their service providers that they are prepared to comply with the applicable CAA and TiC provisions as of the upcoming effective dates.”
