Spencer Fane is gratified to announce attorneys Mike McCann and Sandy Wirtel have each earned 2025 Bench-Bar & Boardroom Conference Awards from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). They will be honored at the firm-sponsored Awards dinner on May 8 in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Mike has been named as a Baron of the Boardroom honoree in recognition of his distinguished career representing clients in corporate matters. For 20 years, this award has recognized KCMBA members whose accomplishments and professional demeanor have yielded consistent, exemplary peer recognition.
Sandy receives this year’s Hon. Kelly Moorhouse Dedication to Children Award. Selected for her ongoing representation of children and families in the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area, Sandy is recognized for significant, exceptional contributions to the ongoing legacy of the late Judge Moorhouse, a legal trailblazer dedicated to pro bono representation in juvenile and family law matters.
At Spencer Fane, Mike represents several of the region’s largest and most well-regarded companies through business decisions, and mergers and acquisitions that pave the way for their continued growth and success. Sandy helps clients in Jackson County Family Court, so that they can receive sound advice from legal counsel experienced in child abuse and neglect and juvenile delinquency cases.
