Spencer Fane attorney Mike Kuzma will present at the Nebraska State Bar Association’s (NSBA) upcoming CLE event, “Perspectives on Insurance Law,” which will take place on Tuesday, February 24, at the Beardmore Event Center in Bellevue, Nebraska.
The program will feature insights from insurance industry thought leaders and regulators from the Nebraska Department of Insurance (NDOI), with topics including property and casualty insurance and health rate oversight, claims handling transparency, annuity suitability, third-party adjusters, cyber coverage, considerations for acquisitions, Nebraska’s excess liability fund, considerations for settlements, and ethical guidance for every stage of fraud prevention and enforcement.
Mike is a co-speaker for a session titled, “Insurance Considerations for Transactional Lawyers and Brokers,” where he will analyze and discuss key insurance considerations for acquisition and disposition transactions with a focus on best practices for business and legal professionals for mitigating liability and protecting clients’ interests.
At Spencer Fane, Mike is a partner in the Corporate and Business Transactions Practice Group, where he advises companies on a diverse assortment of corporate transactions, developing agile solutions to assist in a broad range of critical business elements – from entity setup and governance issues to asset and equity transactions across several industries, including Nebraska’s domestic insurance industry before the NDOI.
