Megan Meadows Clarifies COVID-19 Reopening Rules in St. Louis

June 15, 2021

Spencer Fane attorney Megan Meadows was recently featured in the St. Louis Business Journal for an article discussing best practices for companies reevaluating personal protective equipment policies in the workplace.

Titled “What St. Louis lawyers say reopening businesses need to know about masks, vaccinations,” the article outlines key points organizations need to know about masks and vaccination requirements following the new guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Megan emphasized the need for employers to check state and local orders, as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.

“Maintaining a mask requirement for the time being may lessen the risk of a potential OSHA violation,” Megan explained in the article. “Employers should also be careful to ensure that such individuals are not subject to differential treatment, such as being excluded from work opportunities and events, because they remain unvaccinated.”
