Megan Clontz Talks ESG for Dallas Bar Association CLE

September 26, 2023

Spencer Fane attorney Megan Clontz presented a CLE for the Dallas Bar Association – Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Section on September 13.

Megan joined Gutnicki LLP’s Liz Boydston, Force 10 Partners’ Monica Blacker, and Alvarez & Marsal’s Allison Hoeinghaus for the presentation, The Importance of ESG. This event explained Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) concerns present in current markets and the increasing importance of ESG awareness and initiatives as part of a business’s framework. Megan and her fellow speakers educated attendees on how ESG initiatives can affect the financial health of businesses both outside of and emerging from insolvency proceedings and how they can assist their clients in building successful ESG programming to build positive and avoid negative outcomes related to ESG.

At Spencer Fane, Megan focuses her practice on representing clients in small-business reorganizations and restructurings and debtor and creditor rights litigation in both state and federal courts. She works to protect her clients’ assets in all aspects of bankruptcy and related litigation, including preferences, fraudulent transfers, dischargeability, and state law-based actions.
