Spencer Fane attorney Megan Clontz hosted a happy hour for the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) on April 12 in Austin.
As Chair of the IWIRC – Dallas / Fort Worth Network, Megan joined her fellow DFW Network members to meet with leaders of the developing IWIRC – Central Texas Network. The kickoff event was held at Upstairs at Caroline, a rooftop bar overlooking the Austin skyline, and generated significant interest among members of the Central Texas restructuring community.
Since its founding in 1993, IWIRC has empowered and encouraged women in the restructuring and insolvency professions. This international organization offers its members the opportunity for leadership at the global, regional, and local levels through powerful networks that organize professional, educational, and social activities.
At Spencer Fane, Megan focuses her practice on representing clients in small business reorganizations, restructurings, and debtor and creditor rights litigation in both state and federal courts. She works to protect her clients’ assets in all aspects of bankruptcy and related litigation, including preferences, fraudulent transfers, dischargeability, and state law-based actions.
