Spencer Fane attorney Loren Mulraine spoke at the Adventist Risk Management, Inc. 2023 Risk Management Conference on September 13 in Fort Meyers, Florida.
During the session – Copyright, Law and the Modern Church: Understanding the Legal Framework – Loren educated church leadership about copyright, licensing, and media risk. Attendees gained valuable insight on avoiding legal issues in the era of remote services, recorded worship, and content creation and distribution.
Loren’s presentation was one of several plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and breakout sessions at the conference. Held at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, the event aimed to empower attendees in creating safer ministries at every organizational level.
At Spencer Fane, Loren merges an understanding of the creative elements of the entertainment and media industries with legal and business skills to protect his clients’ intellectual property, build their business enterprises, and advocate for social justice. He is also a gospel artist, worship leader, and songwriter who serves as a professor and director of Music and Entertainment Law Studies at Belmont University College of Law.
