Spencer Fane attorney Loren Mulraine spoke at the October 25 iLead Law & Leadership Conference, a firm-sponsored student event in Nashville.
Hosted by Just the Beginning – a Pipeline Organization (JTB) at Vanderbilt University Law School, this free, one-day workshop allowed high school students to further develop their legal and leadership skills while exploring potential careers. Loren was part of the Legal Side of Media, Fashion, Sports, and Technology panel, which highlighted how law intersects with today’s most dynamic industries.
iLead is part of JTB’s various pipeline programs that serve to develop and nurture interest in the law among young persons from socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds underrepresented in the legal profession. Workshops were also held in Texas, Virginia, and Washington earlier this year.
At Spencer Fane, Loren’s understanding of the creative elements of the entertainment and media industries merges with his extensive legal skills to protect his clients’ intellectual property, build their business enterprises, and advocate for social justice. He has represented Grammy, Dove, and Stellar award winners; gold-, platinum-, and multiplatinum-selling artists; and professionals in the music, media, film/TV, theater, and sports industries. Loren is also a professor and director of Music and Entertainment Law Studies at Belmont University College of Law.
