Loren Mulraine Champions Equity for Music Artists at Vanderbilt Law School Symposium

Spencer Fane attorney Loren Mulraine was a featured speaker for the Vanderbilt Law School’s annual JETLaw Symposium on February 8 in Nashville.

This year’s event, Music Law in the Music City, showcased some of the brightest scholars and practitioners in the fields of entertainment and technology law. In addition to hosting a keynote interview with Grammy winner Tammy Rogers King, the Symposium’s program explored Equity in Music, Artists’ Rights & Organized Labor, and Live-Event Ticketing. As a panelist for the Equity in Music session, Loren explained the need for a new paradigm in music industry contracts that will create fairer contractual relationships for artists.

At Spencer Fane, Loren merges an understanding of the creative elements of the entertainment and media industries with legal and business skills to protect his clients’ intellectual property, build their business enterprises, and advocate for social justice. His clients have included Grammy, Dove, and Stellar award winners; gold, platinum, and multiplatinum-selling artists; and professionals in the music, media, film/TV, theater, and sports industries. Loren is also a professor and director of Music and Entertainment Law Studies at Belmont University College of Law.
