Spencer Fane attorney and former Lieutenant Commander Kelly Campbell was the Sporting KC Military Honoree of the Match for the soccer team’s June 17 game against LAFC.
Kelly was honored for her career accomplishments in the U.S. Navy and her ongoing work as Vice Chair of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF) program, Military Matters. She was celebrated with big screen recognition, a stadium announcement, and a montage of photographs from her service. Kelly was joined onstage by the President of the KCMBF Leon Versfeld, and the Chair of Military Matters Michael George, and her son.
Military Matters aims to bridge the gap between the legal needs of veterans in the community and attorneys assisting with pro bono and low-cost legal services. KCMBF actively engages membership of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association to leverage attorney volunteer support such as Kelly’s.
