Spencer Fane attorney Julia Vander Weele was recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media (MLM) as a “Law Firm Leaders” honoree for 2022.
This honor recognizes chairpersons, managing partners, or other law firm executives who demonstrate extraordinary vision, innovation, and leadership.
Julia is on the firm’s Executive Committee and became office managing partner of the Kansas City office at the beginning of 2021. She received an unexpected test of leadership with challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Julia’s leadership style focuses on listening, analyzing, thorough decision-making, and inclusivity.
When discussing this role, Julia noted that it “has given me a really unique opportunity to get to know several of our staff a little bit better, which I really enjoy.”
