Spencer Fane attorney Jon Watson was recently featured in a Denver Business Journal article discussing legal and practical considerations for Denver employers following the recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated mask guidelines.
Titled “What Denver attorneys want employers to know about CDC mask guidance,” the article outlines best practices for employers related to workplace mask policies.
“Employers have an obligation under OSHA requirements and state guidance to maintain a safe workplace,” Jon explained in the article. “As part of that, there is the right to implement reasonable safety measures.”
Jon also emphasized that mask policies are to be determined by the company’s risk tolerance, noting that “at a minimum, you should allow an employee to wear a mask regardless if they’re vaccinated.”
