On January 14, during a Minnesota State Bar Association webinar, Spencer Fane attorney, Jon Farnsworth, discussed how SaaS and SaaS escrow vendors impact a customer’s business continuity. Jon addressed key examples of how a disruption to a SaaS provider’s operations can be catastrophic to a customer’s business. Jon highlighted these often-overlook risks and common misconceptions of SaaS escrow agreements. In the webinar, hosted by the Bar’s Tech Law Section, Jon is joined by Jabari Groves, a Senior Technology Escrow Advisor at Praxis, a leading vendor of SaaS escrow services.
During the presentation, Evolving Software Escrow: Risk Mitigation and Business Continuity in the SaaS Era, Jon discusses the changing environment of SaaS escrow options in hopes of assisting fellow attorneys who represent SaaS manufacturers and customers in choosing the right product and contractual provisions to protect themselves.
