Spencer Fane attorney Jessica Nelson was selected to the prestigious 2024 Top Women in Law list by Minnesota Lawyer, a leading distinguishment amid a prolific legal career marked by success.
For only the second year, the publication selected a small list of women attorneys deemed “champions for the next generation of women lawyers.” The selected attorneys not only maintain notable records of outstanding legal work but are also recognized leaders within their firms and broader legal communities.
The award follows Minnesota Lawyer’s 2021 recognition of Jessica as Attorney of the Year following her role as a key member of the Spencer Fane team which successfully represented GMAC-RFC and the ResCap Liquidating Trust, a significant win which resulted in the team ultimately recovering more than $1.4 billion.
Becoming one of the publication’s Top Women in Law signifies another milestone in Jessica’s impressive career trajectory.
At the firm, Jessica represents clients in high-stakes business and employment litigation and has extensive experience in complex multi-party cases and class actions in the areas of mortgage-backed securities, ERISA, antitrust, breach of contract, indemnification, fraud, and commercial disputes. She also defends clients in a wide range of employment and employee benefits matters, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and ERISA breach of fiduciary duty claims.
