Spencer Fane attorney Ayesha Mehdi recently presented to physician residents at the MountainView Hospital (Las Vegas) as part of the Sunrise graduate medical education program. Sunrise’s program regularly brings a variety of Las Vegas heath care professionals to provide training and perspective for the residents.
During Ayesha’s presentation, she discussed best practices for analyzing physician employment and independent contractor agreements. She explained the key components involved in physician contracts, including job description/work status, start and end dates, responsibilities/duties, insurance coverage, compensation, restrictions, obligations, and termination details.
