Spencer Fane attorney Helen Holden was recently featured in a Kansas City Business Journal (KCBJ) article covering the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) new vaccine requirement for the workplace.
Titled “As OSHA mandate-or-testing rule’s first deadline arrives, court leaves employers in limbo,” Helen discussed the upcoming deadline for businesses to comply with this federal rule, noting that companies should remain diligent in formulating policies and procedures.
“There is very little precedent involving emergency temporary standards, as they are extremely rare,” Helen explained in the article. “Only six have ever been promulgated, and of those, only one survived court challenges. As a result, it is hard to predict what OSHA will do.”
Since this article was published, there have been numerous developments concerning OSHA’s mandate. To read the full KCBJ article, please click here. Please note, a subscription may be required.
