Helen Holden Discusses EEOC’s COVID-19 Vaccine Guidance

September 13, 2021

Spencer Fane attorney Helen Holden recently published an article featured in DRI’s Employment and Labor Law Committee newsletter, covering the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) COVID-19 vaccine workplace mandates and incentive guidance.

Titled “EEOC Guidance and Recent Litigation on Vaccines,” the article outlines the EEOC’s guidance (updated on May 28, 2021) for employers on COVID-19 vaccine policies and incentives, including how employers can use this guidance to stay in compliance with current regulations.

“The EEOC has provided helpful guidance around employer programs to incentivize employees to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine,” Helen explained in the article. “EEOC also confirms that employers may, under federal EEO law, implement mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policies consistent with equal employment opportunity laws, with some limitations.”
