Health Care Associate Joins Spencer Fane in Nashville

March 9, 2026

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome Crystal Armstrong to the firm’s Nashville, Tennessee, office as an associate in the Health Care Practice Group.

Crystal helps health care organizations navigate complex state and federal regulations and challenges, developing robust, growth-oriented strategies for streamlined operations and risk-averse structures for long-term compliance.

With a unique skill set obtained from a multidisciplinary professional background, Crystal has previous experience conducting health care regulatory due diligence in mergers, acquisitions, and other transactional arrangements, as well as drafting and reviewing necessary transactional documents. She has assisted in counseling a diverse client base – spanning pharmacies, health care providers, commercial Medicare and Medicaid managed care organizations, life science companies, and health care industry investors – on a wide variety of regulatory and compliance matters.

“We are always excited to welcome attorneys with backgrounds that include diverse professional work across multiple sectors,” said Samuel Jackson, office managing partner for Spencer Fane in Nashville. “Crystal will be a fantastic complement to our health care practice, where multidisciplinary experience plays a critical role in maintaining our strong and dynamic team of attorneys.”

Crystal completed her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude at Tennessee State University, then obtained both her master’s and Education Specialist degrees from Middle Tennessee State University. Immediately after, she spent five years as a school psychologist, a background which helps her better interpret complex relational dynamics and prioritize strong client communication. She later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law, completing summer associate positions at both global and national law firms.

Beyond private practice, Crystal is a proactive member of several bar associations and legal societies. In 2025, she began her Master of Laws in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center, where she currently serves as chair of the Employee Benefits Committee for the Tax Council at Georgetown Law.
