Spencer Fane attorney Eric Johnson recently provided insight for an article in the Kansas City Business Journal on the ways the pandemic has impacted small businesses.
Eric explains that he expects an influx of bankruptcies in the near future, currently spending a high proportion of his time answering questions from practices throughout the firm. “If you look at my time card, you may see 10 different matters because we’re jumping to different things to be a resource,” Eric notes in the article. “We look at agreements and consider what happens if a bankruptcy is filed and determine the risks and do preventative care upfront. So there is a lot of that consultation going on throughout the firm right now.”
