Spencer Fane attorney Andrew Brought was quoted in the recent Business Insurance article, OSHA Inspector Ranks Fell Sharply Before Projected 2026 Increase, Agency Says.
In his conversation with the publication, Drew explained the importance of maintaining safety efforts as a business even as the number of federal inspectors declines. “Even with fewer inspectors, OSHA still has the ability to open significant cases, and enforcement can be highly targeted. One inspection can lead to multiple citations, repeat classifications and costly abatement obligations.”
Drew also discussed fall protection enforcement as a particular area of interest for OSHA.
At Spencer Fane, Drew – a frequent Business Insurance collaborator – leads the firm’s Environmental and Energy Practice Group.
