Spencer Fane attorney DeAndrea Washington will speak at HR Houston’s program, LEGALkwik: Legal News at Lightning Speed, on February 29.
DeAndrea will present the session, When Mental Health Enters the Workplace: Navigating Reasonable Accommodations for Mental Illnesses Under the ADA. This presentation is just one of LEGALkwik’s 12 power-packed, TED Talk-style presentations from leading employment law thought leaders. The event program will also include lunch and an hour of open-floor Q&A, and DeAndrea will also lead a three-minute reflection on the legacy of Ruthie White, who was a proud collaborator of HR Houston.

At Spencer Fane, DeAndrea focuses her practice on a variety of labor and employment litigation matters. She provides preventive counsel and litigates employment disputes on behalf of public and private employers in federal and state courts, in arbitration, and before administrative agencies.
DeAndrea also advocates for DEI in the legal field and is a respected voice in the firm’s leadership. She serves on the Spencer Fane Executive and DEI Committees and advises on diversity, equity, and inclusivity impacting firm decisions and strategy at the highest level of the firm.
