Spencer Fane attorney David Waters presented at two Northeast Johnson County Chamber (NEJC) events on January 11.
First, David spoke with this year’s Leadership NEJC class at their first session. During the session, Learning to Say ‘Yes’ to Opportunities and Keeping That Perspective During Challenging Moments, he shared some of the experiences from his time in the leadership program’s 2009 class. David also explained the importance of intellectual curiosity and empathy and discussed how those themes have served him in his legal and municipal leadership paths.
Next, David delivered a speech to NEJC members at the organization’s State of the Cities Address & Luncheon. David was one of 10 city mayors who shared their cities’ 2023 accomplishments and provided insights for the year ahead.
