Spencer Fane is pleased to announce attorney David E. Waters has joined the board of directors for the Johnson County Education Research Triangle (JCERT).
JCERT is a tax-funded initiative that generates more than $15 million a year for higher education and degree offerings through a unique partnership between Johnson County, the University of Kansas. and Kansas State University. In his new role, David will advance the work of these institutions, which prioritize higher education and cutting-edge research to bolster the local economy and enhance the quality of life.
At Spencer Fane, David serves as the firm’s Overland Park Office Managing Partner while maintaining an industrious practice that helps clients in the real estate, governmental, business, and health care industries successfully handle the full range of legal needs related to real estate transactions, ensuring projects stay on time and on budget. In addition, David is deeply involved with the Kansas City metro community. He serves as mayor of Westwood, Kansas, and has several leadership roles within various civic, educational, and nonprofit organizations.
