Chris Ralston Celebrated with Prestigious John Minor Wisdom Award

May 6, 2026

Spencer Fane is pleased to announce attorney Chris Ralston as the 2026 recipient of the American Bar Association (ABA)’s John Minor Wisdom Public Service and Professionalism Award.

One of the ABA’s most esteemed honors, the John Minor Wisdom Award recognizes “outstanding contributions to the quality of justice in legal communities” from legal professionals who remain dedicated to public service and ensuring the legal system is universally available. Chris received this distinction at the John Miner Wisdom Award Luncheon, part of the April 22-24 Litigation Section’s Annual Conference.

As a notable and deeply involved alumnus of Tulane University Law School, Chris also earned congratulations from Dean Marcilynn Burke, who proclaimed that Chris’ “career reflects a deep commitment to excellence, service and leadership, and his generosity of time and talent has made a lasting difference for our students and our community. He has not only distinguished himself in the legal profession but has also remained steadfast in his dedication to Tulane, helping to shape the future of this institution in meaningful ways.”

At Spencer Fane, Chris helps businesses navigate a wide range of commercial litigation matters, employing a strategic blend of negotiation and litigation tactics to advance clients’ interests in and out of the courtroom. He specifically focuses on antitrust law, business torts, contract disputes, tax litigation, securities litigation and arbitration, direct selling, and intellectual property litigation, in addition to maintaining a substantial appellate practice.
