Spencer Fane attorney Ayesha Mehdi presented at the Healthcare Leaders Association of Nevada (HLA NV)’s Southern Nevada Member Meeting on June 11 in Las Vegas.
Ayesha led the session National and Local Health Care Fraud and Abuse Trends at the Select Health Nevada Headquarters. This free presentation delved into critical developments impacting the health care system such as the U.S. Department of Justice’s recent crackdown on health care fraud involving over $2.75 billion.
Recently, Ayesha also served as a panelist for HLA NV’s Women’s Leadership Breakfast. The panel, Keeping Your Voice in Today’s Climate: A Communication Panel for Women Leaders, provided advice on leadership, mentorship, and maintaining authenticity.
At the firm, Ayesha – who recently earned her LLM from Georgetown University – works closely with physicians and other health care professionals, along with various health care and closely held businesses, in a wide range of corporate, transactional, regulatory, and licensure matters.
