Spencer Fane attorney Aaron Dean recently continued his ongoing collaboration with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Minnesota and North Dakota Chapter and the Minnesota Subcontractors Association (MSA) by making four presentations to the organizations’ members on September 19, October 22-23 with another scheduled presentation for December 12.
On September 19, Aaron presented How Contractors Can Get Paid on Time and in Full in Fargo, North Dakota. This 90-minute seminar focused on important construction contract terms and payment remedies under North Dakota and Minnesota law.
On October 22, Aaron presented Protecting Your Company’s Safety Record at Actalent’s West End office in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. This 90-minute seminar focused on how to handle OSHA inspections and defend OSHA Citations.
Aaron presented How to Handle OSHA Inspections and Defend OSHA Citations on October 23 at the North Dakota Safety Council’s office in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Aaron was also invited by North Dakota’s ABC contractor trade group to present Show Me the Money and Important Contract Terms on October 23 in Bismarck, North Dakota. He educated attendees on payment remedies for North Dakota and Minnesota contractors on public and private construction projects.
The ABC is a national trade association representing nearly 22,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms across 67 chapters nationwide. In addition to educational, safety, and best practice programs such as Aaron’s, the organization focuses on government representation and legal advocacy, workforce development and apprenticeship training, business development opportunities and member recognition, and providing other communications and technology resources. Aaron serves on the Safety Committee for the Minnesota and North Dakota Chapter.
Next, Aaron will present a segment of the MSA Construction Contracts Course on December 12. The MSA is Minnesota’s largest subcontractor trade group with hundreds of contractor members with a focus on education and legislative protections. Aaron serves as the MSA’s Chapter Attorney.
At the firm, Aaron represents general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, public and private owners, developers, and architects/engineers in every aspect of construction dispute resolution. Through his diligent work, he ensures contractors get paid via statutory and contract remedies, solves their day-to-day problems, and protects their safety records.
