Peter Goplerud Provides Update on NIL Rights

Spencer Fane attorney Peter Goplerud recently published an article in the Extra Points newsletter covering name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights related to collegiate athletics.

In his article, Peter explains recent developments in NIL law, practical considerations for college athletes, and how college athletes’ right to benefit from the use of their NIL may change. He also discusses compliance issues, legal obligations, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s guidance for colleges and universities.

At Spencer Fane, Peter focuses his practice on higher education and sports law matters. He is a frequent lecturer and is widely published in the area of sports law.
