Spencer Fane attorney Jamie Cotter will present at the 2021 Special District Association of Colorado’s (SDA) Annual Conference, discussing the role and timing of condemnation proceedings in the context of the development approval process in Colorado.
Titled “Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Condemning Property When in the Process of Obtaining Development Approvals,” Jamie will discuss the requirements and restrictions placed on metropolitan districts seeking to condemn property before final development approval is granted. She will also cover recent legislation affecting metropolitan districts’ power of dominant eminent domain.
