Spencer Fane attorney Shawn Tuma recently joined cybersecurity and business leaders at the October 13 CISO XC Dallas Fall Conference 2026 in Plano, Texas. During the event, he shared insights from his new book, “Leading at the Speed of AI: Leadership, Strategy, and Governance for the AI Age.”
A follow-up to his previous work, “The GC+CISO Connection,” the new book examines how organizational leaders can align innovation, governance, and business objectives to deploy artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively. In it, Shawn emphasizes that AI is not solely a technology issue but a leadership challenge requiring enterprise-wide engagement and decision-making.
At the conference, Shawn’s presentation explored many of the themes featured in the publication, including how to align enterprise-level leadership across a business, applying and adapting the necessary frameworks, and managing the data security risks. During a networking break, attendees also had the opportunity to meet Shawn and receive signed copies of the book.
