Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome Thomas Moring to the firm’s Phoenix office as a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
With extensive experience managing every phase of litigation, Tom adeptly represents a broad range of clients in high-stakes business and real estate disputes in state and federal courts, including appellate courts. His practice focuses on complex real estate and commercial litigation, creditors’ rights matters, tort claims, and collections disputes, where he regularly serves as lead counsel. He is well-versed in high-exposure litigation matters, successfully representing clients in commercial trials frequently exceeding seven figures.
“Tom is an effective litigator at all levels, providing diligent, business-centered counsel on a day-to-day basis and serving as a fierce courtroom advocate when necessary,” said David E. Beyond private practice, Tom is heavily involved in several service-based community initiatives. He is the vice chair of The Foster Alliance, a nonprofit which supports children in foster care with essential resources; a proactive volunteer within the Community Legal Services Volunteer Lawyers Program, having earned “Attorney of the Month” twice; and has participated in multiple fundraisers benefiting Special Olympics Arizona.
Tom’s external legal service includes the State Bar of Arizona’s Fee Arbitration Commission and Veterans Assistance Program, and his role as chair of the City of Phoenix Public Defender Review Committee. He is consistently recognized by Southwest Super Lawyers and Phoenix Magazine’s Top Lawyers.
Tom earned both his bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona.
