Spencer Fane attorney Cody Faulk presented at the Texas Municipal League (TML)’s Land Use Essentials Conference on August 20 in Round Rock, Texas.
This one-and-a-half-day educational program welcomed municipal leaders and industry professionals to explore the legal, regulatory, and practical challenges influencing growth and land use decisions across Texas communities. For his session, Water Emergencies: Preparedness, Response, and Prevention, Cody outlined the criteria of a water emergency, the legal and operational framework involved in managing them, and effective preparation strategies for cities as they increasingly face this challenge.
At the firm, Cody serves as Office Managing Partner for the Spencer Fane Austin office and Co-Leader of the Utilities team. In addition to these leadership roles, he represents investor and municipally owned utility clients in both routine and complicated administrative, transactional, operational, and regulatory issues, helping them capitalize on financial benefits in operations while avoiding potential crises. He focuses on regulatory and enforcement proceedings for municipalities, utilities, and landowners before the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Railroad Commission of Texas, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
