Spencer Fane is pleased to announce the firm’s Las Vegas office has been named the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada (LACSN) August 2026 Volunteer of the Month for ongoing work with the organization’s Pro Bono Project.
LACSN is a nonprofit that removes financial barriers to securing attorneys by providing direct legal representation, counsel, advice, and community legal education. Through a variety of programs such as the Pro Bono Project, the organization and its volunteer attorneys help victims of domestic violence and crime, victims of consumer fraud, and children in the foster care system.
“From guardianship and CAP cases to 1983 civil rights claims and everything in between, Spencer Fane attorneys have collectively taken on more than 20 pro bono matters these past few years, with no signs of slowing down,” LACSN noted in its Volunteer of the Month spotlight.
Tom Edwards, Office Managing Partner for the Spencer Fane Las Vegas office, shared: “It is an honor to be part of the Spencer Fane family and the broader Nevada legal community … and it is our responsibility to share that blessing with the young guardianship and CAP clients we serve. Thank you to the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada for making this work possible. Spencer Fane looks forward to continuing its partnership with Legal Aid Center and instilling in its attorneys a fierce resolve to help those of us who are most in need.”
In addition to participating in firmwide programs centered on pro bono matters, charitable giving, and volunteerism, many Spencer Fane professionals actively serve in community organizations and boards and pursue other local philanthropic endeavors. These involvements are essential to a culture that prioritizes connecting with and improving the communities in which we are immersed.
