Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome Nicholas M. Cornell to the firm’s Overland Park, Kansas, office as an associate in the Corporate and Business Transactions Practice Group.
Nicholas assists clients with a wide range of corporate transactions and general business matters, developing agile solutions to help companies achieve strategic objectives at all stages of growth. He has experience drafting corporate documents from entity formation through deal execution.
A future-oriented advisor, Nicholas focuses on how rapidly changing data privacy laws and regulations impact mergers and acquisitions, assessing risk and all possible implications before guiding clients toward compliant, financially efficient solutions.

In 2025, Nicholas notably served as the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Business and Transactional Law Committee Chair.
Nicholas earned his bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from The University of Kansas. He is licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri.
