Spencer Fane is honored to announce the firm has secured California Legal Awards recognition for the third consecutive year. In addition to the firm’s selection as one of only four 2026 Talent Management Innovation finalists, John Picone is shortlisted for Intellectual Property Lawyer of the Year.
The Recorder and Law.com’s annual California Legal Awards celebrate Golden State law firms and legal departments blazing trails in spheres such as technology, innovation, and the overall legal profession. Adding to past acknowledgements for Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion, Lawyers on the Fast Track, and Real Estate Attorney of the Year, Spencer Fane has now been distinguished from among over 600 nominations for its inventive internal restructure as well as John’s impressive work chairing one of the firm’s most rapidly expanding practice groups while balancing a strategic and complex intellectual property law workload.
In addition to honoree profiles in The Recorder, all finalists and honorees will be formally celebrated at the California Legal Awards dinner on June 24 at the Sheraton Grand in Los Angeles. Award winners in each category will be announced.
