Spencer Fane attorney Evan Stephenson presented at the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (CDLA) Annual Conference on August 2 in Snowmass, Colorado.
Joining another industry thought leader for the session, Developing Strategies to Address Fear v. GEICO Decision, Evan examined the impact of the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling in the significant 2024 insurance litigation case. The duo clarified what Fear did and did not establish and provided insight on how to respond to potential misrepresentations about the decision made by opposing counsel to carriers. Evan also outlined strategic approaches for discovery, motions practice, and jury instructions in the post-Fear environment.
