Spencer Fane was honored to be a sponsor the 2025 Salvation Army Down for the Challenge Civic Breakfast at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on May 22. Attorney and Salvation Army Board Advisor Andrew Brought coordinated the firm’s event participation, which also including attendance from Kansas City team members Julia Vander Weele, Nicholas Forrest, Susan Cintron, Amy Diehl, and Yavette Wilkins at the home of the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Spencer Fane has sponsored a table at this annual Civic Breakfast and urban rappelling event, which raises crucial funds for local Salvation Army shelters and housing programs, for several years. This year’s fundraiser celebrated the recipients of the Others Award and the William Booth Award, which honor dedication and service to the Kansas City metropolitan community. Guest speaker, Chiefs Special Teams Cornerback Nazeeh Johnson, regaled the crowd with tales of what it’s like to be a two-time Chiefs Super Bowl Champion and what it took to get there.
