Spencer Fane attorney Shawn Tuma recently served as a featured speaker for the Spring 2025 Community National Bank Cybersecurity Forum, North Texas Cyber Fraud Task Force (NTCFTF) Cybersecurity Conference, and ISMG Data Security Summit.
On March 27, Shawn offered practical steps and strategies to strengthen defenses against evolving cybercrime threats at the Community National Bank Protect Your Business Forum. The event provided local businesses with insights on data protection, network security, and risk management.
At the April 23 NTCFTF conference, Shawn joined the General Counsel and CISO Working Together in Cyber panel. The gathering also explored topics like ransomware and artificial intelligence.
Shawn also joined several industry thought leaders at the May 15 ISMG Summit in Dallas. During his session, Uncovering Insider Threats with Behavioral Analytics, he explored advanced methods for applying behavioral analytics to insider threat detection, including leveraging machine learning, anomaly detection algorithms, and seamless integration with existing security tools.
At the firm, Shawn co-leads the firm’s Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group while serving as Office Managing Partner for the firm’s Plano location.
