The Spencer Fane Springfield office and a local business incubator, The eFactory, were recently featured by the Springfield Business Journal in an article on the pair’s relationship.
The eFactory, a “tech-focused entrepreneurship center” at Missouri State University, helps start-up businesses succeed and grow by offering a variety of services from office space and internet to mentoring and investment.
The Spencer Fane initiative, led by the associates in the Springfield office, supports The eFactory through a dedication of time and legal services. Beginning in 2016, Spencer Fane attorneys will keep office hours for free consultations at The eFactory and offer business advice from a legal perspective on a range of issues from intellectual property concerns to complying with corporate regulations. The firm’s efforts stem from its dedication to supporting the small business community and entrepreneurs.
“We see value in investing in small business and there was no better place to start than The eFactory,” Spencer Fane attorney Derek Ankrom told the Business Journal.
