Spencer Fane Sponsors 35 Local Children in Holiday Gift Drive

The Spencer Fane St. Louis office recently participated in the Motion for Kids program through the St. Louis Bar Foundation, which gives gifts to children in the foster care system or those who have been severely impacted in some way by the criminal justice system. Each year, Motion for Kids (formerly Project Angel Tree) pairs children with participants in the St. Louis legal community who purchase gifts from the child’s wish list and give them during the annual Holiday Party. Spencer Fane attorneys and staff sponsored a total of 35 children and donated an additional 66 stuffed stockings and numerous other gifts as part of the 2015 Motion for Kids drive. This year’s Holiday Party was held at the Edward Jones Dome where the children were presented with their gifts and enjoyed refreshments and an array of other festivities including photos and autographs from St. Louis Rams football players and cheerleaders, holiday craft making and photos with Santa. Any leftover gifts from the Motion for Kids Holiday Party were given to the local low-income Housing Authorities, the City and County police departments and social service agencies, which will distribute them over the next few weeks to children and families in the St. Louis community.
