Spencer Fane Opens Plano, Texas Office as Paul Sander Joins Firm

We are pleased to announce the continuation of our growth in the Dallas market with the opening of an office in Plano, Texas that will be led by new Office Managing Partner Paul Sander. Paul joined Spencer Fane Monday, January 8 in our real estate practice.

The firm’s presence in Collin County enables Spencer Fane to serve new and existing clients throughout the metroplex and Northern Texas business community as we continue on a strategic growth plan to meet client needs throughout the state.

“We are excited to grow our presence in the region in order to better serve the increasing needs of our clients and further our engagement with the community,” said Patrick J. Whalen, Spencer Fane Managing Partner. “Paul is a skilled attorney and we’re glad to have him leading an office that we aim to expand in the years ahead.”

“We have intentionally built Spencer Fane on a model that allows us to grow our practice to align with our clients’ specific legal needs, both in terms of the type of services we offer and the geography in which those services are delivered,” Pat continued. “As a firm that is highly invested in client service, we want to meet our clients in the places where they do business so that their business leaders can more effectively work with ours.”

Since March of 2017, Spencer Fane has created similar growth by adding three new offices in Phoenix, Arizona; Downtown St. Louis, Missouri; and Las Vegas, Nevada. The firm also experienced significant increase in the total number of attorneys across the firm.

In addition to serving as Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Plano office, Paul will continue with his practice of counseling clients on real estate, financial and a variety of business transactions. During his 30-plus years practicing law, he has represented real estate developers, financial institutions, governmental entities, restaurateurs, educational institutions, investment groups and many other businesses in an array of industries. He has handled numerous contract and business matters, including corporate mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and dispositions.

Paul earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University and his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
