Spencer Fane LLP Expands, Adding Three New Associates in Kansas City And One in St. Louis

Spencer Fane is pleased to announce the addition of four new associates. Three will be added to its Kansas City, MO. office, as well as one new associate addition to its St. Louis, MO. office. David Hrabik will be joining the firm’s Corporate Practice Group; Paul T. Jacobson and Shelby Wood will be added to the Environmental Practice Group. In St. Louis, Soo Hyun Cho will join the Corporate Practice Group.

David Hrabik is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law, where he was recognized as a Rice Scholar for outstanding academic work and proven leadership abilities. He also worked as Business Manager of the Kansas Law Review. Previous to joining Spencer Fane, David worked for LexisNexis, as well as serving as law clerk for Bever & Dye and the Kansas District Court.

Paul T. Jacobson is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif. He was recognized with the Willard L. Eckhardt Prize for Highest Grade in Property Law, the CALI Award for Highest Grade in Environment Law, the CALI Award for Highest Grade in Advocacy and Research and the McKool Smith Prize for the University of Missouri Patent Law Moot Court. During his University of Missouri Law years, Paul also served as Associate Managing Editor of the Missouri Law Review.

Shelby Wood graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. During law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of Vol.25 of Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems and completed summer associate programs with two Missouri law firms. Prior to attending law school, Shelby worked at Spencer Fane as an Environmental Case Assistant. He is a graduate of William Jewell College’s Oxbridge Honors Program.

Previous to being sworn in as an Associate at Spencer Fane, Soo Hyun Cho spent time at the firm as a summer associate and then as a law clerk. He graduated Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis after earning his undergraduate degree in Business from Saint Louis University. While at Washington University, he served as staff editor of Washington University Studies Law Review and was the recipient of the Scholar in Law Award and the Marion C. Early Award. He was also recognized with the 2015 Diane Yu Scholarship and Service Award.
