Spencer Fane LLP Adds Depth To Its Litigation Group In Kansas City

Spencer Fane is pleased to announce the addition of Associate Mike Seitz to its litigation group in Kansas City.

Mike comes to Spencer Fane after seven years with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Los Angeles, California, as Associate Attorney. Mike assists companies and institutions in complex civil litigation and appellate matters and has handled cases with aggregate claims exceeding several billion dollars in total liability. At Gibson Dunn, Mike was a member of The American Lawyer’s “Litigation Department of the Year” for three of the last five years. Before his tenure with Gibson Dunn, Mike interned for Judge Victor Howard of the Western District of Missouri Court of Appeals in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mike dedicated two years working for Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan in various capacities, including serving as Deputy Director of Communications.

Mike earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2009, where he served on the managing board of the Virginia Law Review and participated in the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic and William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition. He graduated from Duke University in 2004 with an undergraduate degree in Political Science and History.

Mike is a native Missourian, originally from Lexington, Missouri.
