Spencer Fane is pleased to announce the addition of Associate Tara A. Bailes to its Springfield office. Bailes will join the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group where she will focus her practice on litigating a variety of matters on behalf of clients across a wide range of industries, including commercial and construction matters.
Prior to joining Spencer Fane, Bailes served as a summer law clerk with a mid-sized law firm in Overland Park, Kan. and previously as a law clerk with a law firm in Springfield, where she aided in legal research and assisted in drafting analyses, petitions and motions for a broad array of matters. Bailes also has experience in alternative dispute resolution techniques including mediation.
Bailes earned her law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, where she served as the associate editor of the Missouri Law Review and the director of public relations for the Board of Advocates, a student-run organization providing law students with opportunities to enhance their speaking and writing skills through advocacy-based competitions. Bailes also spent a year abroad studying at the London Law Consortium. Prior to law school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Missouri State University. During her undergraduate studies, Bailes interned at a law firm in Springfield.
