Spencer Fane Continues Growth of St. Louis Office

Firm Expands Business Transactions Practice Group

Spencer Fane is pleased to welcome Aaron Pawlitz to the firm’s St. Louis office. Pawlitz will join the Business Transactions practice group as partner where he will focus on counseling domestic and international public, private and nonprofit organizations in a wide variety of industries. In particular, he will help clients navigate mergers and acquisitions, real estate and lending transactions, corporate governance and other commercial agreements.

Pawlitz brings to Spencer Fane over a decade of experience in representing individuals, closely-held enterprises, non-profit entities, and publicly-traded businesses in a variety of legal matters. Pawlitz’s strengths include his acute attention to detail, his practical approach to issues, and his commitment to client service.

Pawlitz has been recognized for his professional accomplishments on numerous occasions including being named a “Rising Star” by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers for four consecutive years and achieving an AV Preeminent Peer Review rating by Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of The Missouri Bar, The Illinois Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and the American Bar Association.

Outside of the office, Pawlitz has dedicated much of his time to the St. Louis legal and civic communities. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of Christ Community Lutheran School and as a member of the Board of Directors for Lutheran Family and Children’s Services of Missouri, and he previously served as pro bono counsel for St. Johns Lutheran Church’s Charter School Project, pro bono counsel for St. Luke’s Lutheran Church’s Loan Renewal Project and Urban Ministry Expansion and pro bono counsel for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. Pawlitz is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri. He earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the St. Louis University Law Journal, and his bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Missouri at St. Louis, where he graduated magna cum laude.
