As Of Counsel in the firm’s Governmental Affairs and Litigation practice groups, Jane brings unique experience from her previous roles as Assistant Attorney General, Chief Legal Counsel, and Chief of Staff to the Governor of Missouri. She has extensive trial experience and has argued before the Missouri Courts of Appeals and Supreme Court and given a briefing before the U.S. Supreme Court. She focuses her practice on governmental affairs, media and commercial litigation and represents clients across a wide range of industries.
In addition to her law practice at Spencer Fane, Jane is making a positive impact on the St. Louis community. She serves on the executive committee of the Missouri State Conference of the NAACP, and is involved in a variety of industry organizations and associations. Jane also is a regular host and political analyst for St. Louis news radio, KMOX.
She has been recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America and has received numerous industry accolades including a Women’s Justice Award from the St. Louis Daily Record, a “Top Ten Lawyers of the Year” award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly and St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 recognition.
Jane earned her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
