SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP is expanding its Springfield office by adding two attorneys. Jon Cline and Kevin Hoffmeyer will join the firm’s growing real estate practice group.
“Jon and Kevin are strong additions to our team,” said Richard Walters, managing partner of Spencer Fane’s Springfield office. “The real estate group, and our office in general, are growing at a rapid pace, and these attorneys’ stellar backgrounds in real estate incentives and tax credits will help us better serve our clients.”
Spencer Fane’s Springfield office is focused on real estate, including urban development; construction and housing; financial services; education; and litigation. Both Cline and Hoffmeyer will focus their efforts on real estate finances, development, incentives and construction for the Springfield area as well as nationally.
Jon Cline has significant experience investigating real estate transactions and spearheading the resolution of complex title and escrow negligence claims. Cline has recent experience overseeing and managing a team of attorneys as well as working to settle claims in accordance with professional procedures and governmental insurance regulations. He earned his Juris Doctor, Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kansas.
Kevin Hoffmeyer recently earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri’s School of Law. His studies focused on criminal law, he finished in the top 12 percent of his class and worked as a law clerk at two Missouri firms. During his time at these firms, Hoffmeyer examined and resolved real estate issues involving property transactions, bankruptcy and contract drafting.
Spencer Fane opened its Springfield office in June of this year. The firm has long represented many clients in Springfield and throughout southwest Missouri. With the addition of these new attorneys, Spencer Fane will be able to continue to effectively and efficiently manage its clients’ needs locally and nationally.
