Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP is expanding its Overland Park office by adding a new attorney. Tina Boschert will join the firm’s growing health care practice group. “Tina brings a wealth of health care knowledge to our firm,” said Pat Whalen, managing partner of Spencer Fane. “Her experience working at other law firms as well as on the client side is invaluable, especially when you consider the growing number of changes we are facing in the health care industry.”
Boschert advises clients on corporate compliance (including fraud and abuse), general and physician contracting, transactions, policy and procedure development, federal and state regulatory compliance, reimbursement and other legal concerns faced by hospitals, physicians, home health agencies and other health care providers.
Through her years of experience, Boschert has found her specialty – assisting providers in complying with health care laws and helping hospitals, physicians and others in the health care industry to develop and operationalize policies and procedures in key regulatory and compliance areas.
Boschert’s experience includes practicing at Husch Blackwell as an associate in the health care, life sciences and pharmaceuticals practice group. At Husch, she worked with clients on general health care issues, contracting, compliance investigations and corporate transactions on behalf of health care providers.
She also worked at Polsinelli as a health care associate and with Menorah Medical Center as its director of risk management and ethics and compliance officer. Boschert earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri, Columbia. While at UMKC, she was the administrative editor for UMKC Law Review.
