Satterwhite Recognized as ‘Trusted Adviser’ by Springfield Business Journal

Spencer Fane Partner Paul Satterwhite was honored this past week by the Springfield Business Journal as part of the publication’s annual “Trusted Adviser” awards. Satterwhite was one of three selected for recognition in the lawyers category, which recognizes the city’s top legal advisers and honors those individuals who have made their life’s work supporting fellow members of the business community by providing professional expertise and exceptional service. As a labor and employment attorney with Spencer Fane, Satterwhite helps employers navigate the continually evolving and increasingly complex arena of employment law. In particular, he is skilled at advising companies on how to avoid and mitigate potential legal risks by providing counseling on day-to-day human resources issues and developing custom training sessions to educate employees on current employment law issues. He also has extensive experience in defending companies in employment-related litigation including class action lawsuits. Outside of the office, Satterwhite dedicates a significant amount of time speaking and presenting on various employment law topics as well as participating in numerous business, legal, civic and philanthropic organizations. Satterwhite is currently the President of the Board for Discovery Center of Springfield, and he has significant involvement with Harmony House, The Hamels Foundation and the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools. He is a past recipient of the Springfield Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” recognition as well as Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s “Up & Coming” awards and Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” recognition.
